SWHBA member, Mary Ellen Areaux has been an avid fan of the Tennessee Walking Horse since childhood. She is the
owner of Walkers West, located in Kaufman, Texas. Devoting decades to promoting the TWH breed, Mary Ellen has made the name 'Walkers West'
both a household word in the
knowledgeable Walking Horse community, and the buzz word on the lips of new comers to the breed around the world. She has introduced the Tennessee Walking Horse to
buyers from places as far away as Europe, Israel,
Russia, Australia, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
Mary Ellen serves on the board of directors of the SWHBA
and the TWHBEA, and meets a steady parade of buyers and
visitors to the beautiful horses of Walkers West.
Currently standing four stallions, Mary Ellen and
Walkers West are actively involved in the Tennessee
Walking Horse breeding industry, as well as providing an
international market to many US breeders. |
